On May 13, FAPERJ released the results of the calls for proposals for Scientist of Our State (CNE) and Young Scientist of Our State (JCNE). The CNE and JCNE programs are designed to support, through competition, projects coordinated by researchers of recognized leadership in their area, with employment in educational and research institutions based in the State of Rio de Janeiro.

In this edition, a total of 583 scholarships were awarded to researchers from Rio de Janeiro, totaling more than R $ 58.9 million, fully reverted to the increase and development of research in Rio de Janeiro. In the CNE notice, 400 projects were awarded out of a total of 874 requests. For the JCNE, 183 grants were awarded out of a total of 598 applications.

PESC professors Carlos Eduardo Pedreira, Celina Miraglia Herrera de Figueiredo, Edmundo Albuquerque de Sousa e Silva, Guilherme Horta Travassos and Marta Lima de Queirós Mattoso were included in the Program Scientist od Our State.


And several of our former students were included in the Programs Scientist of Our State and Young Scientist of Our State.


This shows that PESC continues to have its work recognized, in its 50 years of existence.
